Anxiety.

Note

“You know when you’re sitting on a chair and you lean back so you’re just on two legs and you lean too far so you almost fall over but at the last second you catch yourself?”

“This is what I feel all the time.”

Anxiety.

Behind me.

I turn around

but there is nothing

Creeping.

something follows me

wait, I’m in solitude; yet I know I’m not alone

Who? Why? Where? When? How?

my mind goes

Blank,

constantly running

something is on my mind

could it be my follower; after all, they have been here for a while

Watching.

I try

(Stop you know this won’t work)

and try to lose them, but they remain steadfast

they are in pursuit

inching closer

(I will not leave you)

and closer

Constrained.

I am pushed into a corner; no place to go

(We are one)

or hide

my thoughts become more rapid

my breath becomes more heavy

it is becoming more difficult to think

(You can’t leave me)

Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Leave me alone.

Leave me alone.

Leave me alone. Leave me alone.

Leave me alone.

Leave me alone. Leave me alone.

Leave. me. alone.
